Closed Cities

This editorial looks more like a type setting style brief than creating something really creative. I love how the style of design is set to a grid system and also how they have kept the images and the text separate from one another, the overall effect of this is creating something that offers a high end finish and if it were to be printed on high quality stock then it would work highly effectively.

This makes me think that we need to start designing for a more ranged and varied amount of stock, these designs are so simple that it can begin to show about what a huge difference. The small X is something that can be used as a symbol to finalise who they are, once their branding is set up and complete they will be able to just send someone a symbol of their cross and it will represent who they are. 

JA Custom Typres

This personal branding is beautiful, it draws my attention to wanting to test out more styles, the way that all of his designs are hand drawn for each card gives it a really person feel which each client will receive. The wax seal just finishes of the design with a professional finish, however getting the design and finish as clean cut and crisp as they have then it would make the final design. 

DNB

This branding doesn't really represent or tell you what the company is however its nice to see how it can range and how they have proposed it over a massive and more dynamic range of medias, this is something to take into account.

Victor Russo Osteria

Although this doesn't link to our branding much at all, we are still able to get some ideas from it, The illustrative side kinda of draws away the concept of what its trying to communicate however i really like the way in which only sections of the front are visible from the image and then the text blanks it out, this gives it a higher high anarchy.

Rapport

This FBI style of having everything stuck together via paper clips to look like a file, this could be a great way to get kids to want to interact with it, this would be something to try and find a way to make sure that they would want to, but obviously they would have to be something related to winston churchill.
