Alex Trochut

This work has a similar style to Si Scott as it looks almost hand rendered and is used for advertisement and creating new design ways of looking into graphic's, the simple black and white style of working has the approach which makes this work and then how it comes out to the bottom to turn into a fountain pen just adds that touch which makes it from just type to a completed graphic design piece of work.

Si Scott

The crisp professional finish that Si Scott has hand rendered onto this image of work is unbelievable, the way that the image has been drawn using only a fine liner and then added text onto through the use of a Mac shows how he can incorporate both sides of the design industry into his work, this is another skill which id like to learn as the crisp outlook on my work would make it so much more eye catching and create a stronger final outcome.

The subtle lines from this image of work make it an intriguing image to look at, the way that the soft delicate lines join to the bolder outlines which show the strong areas of the text work excellently, this work will be a influence to me through the balance of soft subtle lines to hard strong bold lines which create a balance in the final outcomes.

He also displays how the use of the hand rendered text can work well with a simple one tone background, the cyan coloured background draws the eye to it and then you see the intense drawing skills which Si Scott has managed to create with his free hand rendered outcomes.

Craig Ward

This is the standard of computer skills which i would like to achieve by the end of my three year course at Leeds, the professional outcome which has been achieved on this makes me want to learn new and enhance my skills on programs such as photoshop, indesign and illustrator. these are the three main programs which i would like to know the ins and outs of before i leave. I believe that the skills would be highly valuable in the design industry and would give me the advantage in the creative industry.

This image from Craig Ward has a rather interesting approach as he has formed the countries into a plate then used simple shapes to create the knife and fork, together this gets the message across for the economist and is a strong piece of graphic design due to simple change between the red and white colours. again this is a strong inspiration to me, even though the work is simple it will stay play a strong impact into the work i aim to produce.

This is the work of Craig Ward, this typographic designer has a very unique way to work which creates this outstanding outcome of work which from a distance looks as if the text sits underneath the rest of the imagery but when you see on the side angle, it has all been hand crafted into the vine work and creates this outstanding piece of work. This is the standard of work which i aspire to be able to create in the future.

Sagmeister

This is where i got the main inspiration for the "alphabet soup" project, the idea that the red and green could be used for a optical illusion would work nicely. the work of this artist also interested me with the simplistic yet interesting approach to graphic design.
