Colour for Print ... Branding and Identity.

For these first set of images im looking for a range of different printing colour schemes which will show how these can be changed for each of the ways that they work with each other...

CMYK

This first list of images are linked into the CMYK colour print process, this is something which is a clean cut simple design which links into what people need to do and what they need to make a company stand out, the simple blends of colours are created using different variants of the inks mixed together to make up the beige colour and also the red. This works well for a CMYK business branding and identity.

This for me is something which works perfectly for branding and also for editorial layout, this is one which could relate to both, due to the way in which it has the strong look and the strong way of thinking about what you need when it comes to a CMYK way of working, There has been more then one style of printing aswell on the top image, ranging from Pad Printing to simple lithography, these all change the way in which it has been created and what actually needs to be done for it too work to the best of its ability.

Monochrome

These are beautiful business branding which work on a new level when it comes to making something look clean and simple yet eye catching and something which would work when your out in the business world, the way in which it still looks so professional has to be the way in which the stock which it has been printed onto is textured and still looks expensive. However the monochrome use of only the black is used so that you don't have any distractions going on from the main identity of the company. This for me works really well, im a big fan of clean and simple and straight to the point.

This here is where the monochrome is really working again for the simple black and white colour theme which is going on when it comes down to the way in which they have branded the whole company, then labelling it with really simple design text you can see how its going to work from the start, the first image that is posted up really summarises what this company is trying to achieve and even though i think its a strong idea its just that bit too bland for it too work correctly for me.

Spot Colour

The simple hint of red really shows of how well spot colour can work when its used correctly, the way in which it all links into one and really emphasis how the red, black and white can work in unison with each other to create and easy on the eye style of working.

The only thing that bothers me about this whole design is that i cant find the company in which it was created for cause i would like to see if they have stuck to the spot colour theory when it comes to there online profile. None the less this does work for me and is eye catching as the repeat pattern just draws you in

This is very similar to the red spot colour which you can see above, this time however they have used a new stock over the front which i think adds that class to it which doesnt then require these high value inks and all the other perks such as foil printing and UV varnish to really make it look expensive, this too some degree does have the cheap factor about it but still its eye catching and does what it has too to do its job effectively. As long as the bar itself sticks to the same colour theme this is a well created identity for the company "Freq"
