Design for Print - Specialist Production & Definitions

This is the work which i think relate to the way that we are looking forward to how the work can then change and design what we expect from the print specials, these can really change what you want to see and what you actually get from the range of this. Below is a range of various special prints which i think show a range of what i am wanting to achieve and what i want to expect from my prints in the future.

This book above has a UV spot varnish on the front cover i think, the way in which this works has a style of what you can really think about it all, this has instantly increased a perception of what you think this book wold cost and what it actually does. This would be something that you would need to let the specialists know about before you take this to print cause they would have to set up certain things to get this done.

The textured stock has made the ink on the page look really matte and it stands out from what you see, links together for me really well and gives it this relaxed and forward approach which still captures the attention of the public and  consumers. Thus completing its purpose.

I love the way that they have created two posters only using the spot colours and kept it to a simple one colour theme, this gives it a unique effect when they have dropped things over the top of each other, you then cant collect such a range to which you would really want to get from this as a design itself.

Im not sure how you could create this, i think it could be a digital print cause you really need the definition in this to really make it stand out and then when you link them over the top the colours need to run into each other, this would be achieved before print through the use off dropping back the opacity and wanting to make them filter each other out.

This design style would again look really well if you were to print this using digital, this then would have all the detail and still portray a strong message which can really capture the attention of the public. The idea of how you can link the images from the contender too the actual thing that you are looking for then makes it look like it has alot more of a strong and conceptual design context.

The colours for this will have been crucial cause this is another things that makes this really important to make this look like the focused way in which you really need to see when it comes down to the final outcome and outlook of these designs, the dirty texture which has been used for the background also makes things look like they work on a scale of what i like.

I think this is a specialist print format that is called UV spot varnish on the tabs which come out the side of the book, then you have the camera on the front and also the little silver sections these seem to both be the foil print sections. These add some real class into the way in which you think about this.

Due to the colour of the camera being in a gold foil print and then you can see the way in which it relates to the topic this then makes sense why it would be like it is so that you can relate to both ways in which this has been created.

Emboss when it comes down to something like this really gives off that professional feel in my eyes, something that can link and relate into the sense of what you need it too look like and what you want to acheive from it all. The only other problem that i have when it comes to this is not knowing how to create things of this standard, i think that maybe its something that you can create when you look into the final design of things and this will then relate back to what is needed and what is wanted before actually trying to achieve this myself.

I love how the designers have not messed around with the various types of colour prints over the top of these, they have kept it with the stock colour to make the emboss give it that finish that is needed.

Again highlighting what people want to see and what they don't, by making only certain parts of this shop name in white it has highlighted them and made them stand out alot from what you would normally see and then it gives it the nickname "PM24" then when you get closer you can see what it really going on and then it has done its purpose correctly and drawn you in whilst doing this with the professional finish that it has.

Emboss again for another book, there seems to be a running theme of what you print when it comes down to the final thing. The embossed text on the front is near impossible to read from a distance so would just look like a clear book, this is something which i would want to pick up and take further looks into.

Its nice that it aint the normal style of emboss aswell, that it has just the outline embossed out so that you can only see certain sections of it and not a full solid block of font that is pressed that way.

This special style of print can make something look alot better than what it would if it was just to be printed like a normal book would be, this is something that i may way to take note of when it comes to my prints in the future.

This box of goodies really works well when you think about the whole thing cause it all has the same special print style to link them all together and this gives you the way of thinking and then linking it together. I also love how the box opens to then see what is going on inside and it all closes neatly together to hide it up.

By keeping this all together so that you can see the stock and the choice of ink colour of which you printed this onto then makes the sense which really relates things together so that you can use this as a running theme through-out the rest of the project for them.

UV spot varnish again for this print style makes the booklet have that clean cut and feel which really has something that links in with everything. when you print back on black it stands out alot this is something which like i say alot, makes it stand out and gives it that creative and expensive feel.

The only difference which you get inside the book is, the UV spot varnish then appears to vanish and you can really start to look at what you need to and what you want to design when its all finished. They still have stuck with the simple design which links in with what you would expect from looking at the outside of the book.
