Good is... (part 2, Information and Wayfinding)




This one to me didn't seem straight forward when i first thought about it but then it all made sense and how they can all link together, just because it isn't a logo and it isn't text doesn't mean it cant show you a path or even offer information. 

The markings on a race track are a very clear indication and anyone who participates in that event know whats going on and what they need to do within it, For example the racers at the top have four solid lines which will follow around the track, they they know which links they may cross and which others they may not. Same with the bottom image, the runners are clear that they have a lane to stay in and that they may not cross it, to do this would mean they get disqualified, this would be fatal to their race.

I think these are a clear sign of information and wayfinding but in a way which isn't as clear as say text or image, yet still can deliver a message and tell people what to do.
